Clare Valley’s social media channels are dedicated to providing our visitors with inspiring and helpful content to assist with planning their stay in our region. Our goal is to ensure that our visitors enjoy their experience during their stay
Clare Valley does not accept responsibility for the comments of fans on this page and it’s important to note that postings to the Clare Valley Facebook page are not representative of the opinions of Clare Valley, nor do we confirm their accuracy.
We encourage the expression of opinions and free, frank and open discussion, but we do want people to act responsibly and play nice.
Posts will be deleted if they contain:
- violent, obscene, profane, hateful, derogatory, illegal or racist comments, content, links or images or incite such comment or behaviour
-comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
- solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any financial, commercial organisations
- multiple successive off-topic posts by a single user
- repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple users
-offensive, inaccurate, false, misleading or deceptive comments or content
-material which infringes third party intellectual property rights
-any other inappropriate content or comments as determined in Clare Valley’s absolute discretion
Users who do not comply with this policy will also be blocked from the page in Clare Valley absolute discretion.

Contributing to Clare Valley’s social media profiles
Clare Valley does NOT claim ANY ownership rights in photos or videos that you post on our Facebook ‘wall’ or by use of #VisitClareValey and #ClareValleySA. However, by submitting you hereby grant to Clare Valley a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, revocable, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly display and/or reproduce, your photo, including editing, compiling and assembling video works, interstitials or the use of photographic works as underlying works compiled into moving image without limitation in any online media formats and through any social media channels, pages or accounts.
If your photo is used on Clare Valley’s digital or social platforms (including www.clarevalley.com.au), your name and / or business will always be credited. We may also choose at our sole discretion to link back to your website or business social media profile.
Clare Valley may, at its discretion attach logos or other branding devices on photos or videos.
You can revoke this licence at any time by contacting us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org and informing us that you no longer want us to use your photo.

Advertising Cookie and OPT-OUT
Anyone may opt-out of the Google cookie at any time by going to your Google Ad Settings. You may also opt-out of the Facebook cookie at any time by going to your Facebook Ad Settings.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
We may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide - When you sign up with or make a purchase from Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre we ask you for personal information. We may combine the information you submit with information from other Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. This won't occur without your consent unless necessary for site security. This data is retained for as long as you have an active account with Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre
Traffic information - When you access the services of Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre via browser, application, or other, clients we record certain information using our traffic analysis tool, Google Analytics. This information is stored in an anonymised manner but does include data such as your web request, your interaction with a service, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account. These logs are retained and are used for content and marketing planning purposes so that we can improve our content and services. After this time, these logs are automatically deleted.
User communications - When you send an email or other communications to Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. We may use your email address to communicate with you about our services or products but never to send you communications that are not related to your purchases or that you haven't opted into.
Location data - Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre offers location-enabled services. If you use those services, Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre may receive information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device) or information that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID). This data is not recorded without your permission and is not held for any longer than the period required to deliver the specific service.
In addition to the above, we may use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services (including advertising services) and develop new services; and
Protect the rights or property of Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre or our users.
If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre processes personal information on our servers in Australia. In some cases, we process personal information outside your own country.
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some of the Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

We restrict access to personal information to Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution if they fail to meet these obligations.
Accessing And Updating Personal Information
When you use Clare Valley Wine, Food and Tourism Centre services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Because of the way we maintain certain services, after you delete your information, residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from our active servers and may also remain in our backup systems for a period of time.
