Gaslight Cafe Collectables & Old Books is a cafe infused with the Cornish influence in our Town with the selling of food items emulating Cornish food from 19th Century. Our customers have an opportunity to purchase a Tiddy Oggi which relates to the 19th Century Miner's Lunch which the wives of those early miners used to cook for their miner husbands to take down the mine - basically a 2 course combo of a pasty and apple pie served with tomato sauce and cream. For the less adventurous you can just order a normal Gaslight-size pasty.

Additionally Gaslight Cafe offers Our special Artisan Pies: Choose from 2 Chicken and 2 Beef choices - Our delicious Scones: Plain or Sticky Date - Our Toasted Bacon & Egg Sandwiches - Our Toasted Sandwiches - enjoyed with our Coffee OR Tea (hot or iced) or range of Fruit Juices or Cold Drinks. Nearly all of our items can be purchased to eat inside Gaslight Cafe or as takeaway food either hot or cold.

We open 6 days a week for Breakfast and Lunch from 5:00am with kitchen closing at 1:30pm. We close on Wednesdays and most Public Holidays.

Burra also highlights the fact that the Township is a Heritage Precinct where the outer facade of buildings retains that aura of 'time past' and the Cornish legacy.
