The Watervale Hotel has won over 20 awards since re-opening in September 2020 including 'Best Restaurant in a Pub or Club in Australia' (RCA), Best Tourism Restaurant in SA (TicSA), and Best Hotel Restaurant in the World (Corporate Livewire).

The Watervale Hotel is a farm fresh-to-plate restaurant in a casual Pub in the Clare Valley Wine region. We source produce from a number of local farms, including our own organic, bio-dynamic Penobscot Farm. Proprietor Nicola Palmer was awarded 'SA Chef of the Year' in 2022 (RCA).

We offer the Penobscot Farm Tour and Six Course Degustation dining at the Chef's Table at 4pm every day. This tour won the 'Excellence in Food Tourism' award (TicSA).

Our extensive wine list was awarded the 'Best Wine List in SA' (RCA) and 'Best Pub Restaurant Wine List' in 2021. It showcases Clare Valley diversity and match Clare Valley wines to our Degustation Dinners and Cooking Masterclass lunch. We offer a Clare Valley Wine Masterclass at 11am every day. This can be followed by a Feed Me lunch as our 'Teach Me, Feed Me' experience.

We also offer a la carte dining in beautifully renovated private, casual and formal dining spaces.
