Overview

The Rising Sun Hotel celebrates a remarkable milestone in 2026, marking 175 years at the heart of Auburn and the Clare Valley. Since opening in 1851, the pub has been a gathering place for locals and visitors, and this celebration honours the people, stories and community that have shaped it across generations.

Festivities begin on Friday evening with an extended locals' happy hour, followed by DJ Murph setting the tone for the weekend.

Saturday features a full-day of live music on the Stable Green, with performances from Tara and Richard Coates, Warren Milera with Glenn Skuthorpe, and The Sunrise Collective, The Rising Sun's newly formed house band. The evening transitions to an intimate Dinner and a Show experience, with Peter Head presenting King of the Cross. Guests enjoy a sparkling welcome, followed by a three-course dinner and storytelling performance. With only 30 seats available, this event offers a close and memorable experience.

Sunday brings the celebrations to a close with The Big Dance, featuring Shyla Eve, Mick Kidd and Dave Blight, with Motel Music headlining into the evening.

General admission is free on Saturday and Sunday, with Smokey Uppercuts American BBQ serving throughout the weekend. VIP upgrades include access to The Stables, indoor and outdoor seating, private bar and facilities, and a complimentary drink per day.

This milestone celebration is proudly supported by Coopers Brewery.
