Stables by the Vines

Stables by the Vines

Stables by the Vines were created from a sensitive restoration and refurbishment of the historic stone and slate stables belonging to Mintaro's original slate quarry operator. They consist of four main areas, a bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and bathroom. Whilst the rooms have maintained their rustic slate walls and historic fittings, they also enjoy all of today's modern comforts. Upon arrival you will receive a welcome bottle of wine. As well, there is a range of options for a continental breakfast.

The location is ideal for those who are looking for a restful break. The Stables overlook orderly rows of Reillys cabernet sauvignon vines and onto the ancient gum trees aligning the nearby creek. Reillys cellar door is one hundred metres away and the famous Magpie and Stump hotel just across the road.

The Stables is a private building accessed from a shared courtyard. It is adjacent to the host’s home and there are several outdoor settings on the property you are welcome to use.

In the gorgeous heritage town of Mintaro, you will find two outstanding wineries and a hotel – but there is no supermarket or café to purchase additional food requirements! Whilst they recommend eating at any of the local hotels and wineries, they nevertheless suggest you pop into a shop prior to arrival for any supplementary supplies.
