This 1860s cottage is an environmentally responsibly run and maintained guest house, that offers a beautiful balance between indulgence and sustainable choices. We call it the Greener Stay.

With two generous bedrooms, a wood fire, a full-size practical kitchen and dining area, as well as a hot outdoor shower, a beautiful garden, and plenty of room to move around, the Secret Figtree Cottage is a perfect stay for a romantic getaway or a trip with friends.

Secret Figtree Cottage invites guests to actively reduce the impact on the environment through daily choices. From how they supply provisions, to creative ways to reduce waste, as well as information about more sustainable cleaning and travelling practices. They also continuously improve the property - EV charging coming soon, as well as grey water reuse for garden watering and many other little acts of kindness to planet Earth.

Less than 100m from the Riesling Trail, and about 300m to the main street in Clare, the cottage offers a lovely opportunity to enjoy what the town has to offer - cafes, restaurants, and weekend markets.
