Hallett Recreation and Camping Ground

Hallett Recreation and Camping Ground

The Hallett Recreation and Camping Ground has expansive camping areas and is right next to the pub. It is available for short stays (up to three days) for recreational vehicles (RVs), caravans and campers. Overnight tariff with power includes use of toilet and showers. Bike washdown facilities are provided at the swimming pool picnic area, follow the signs from the Mawson Trail at Jessie Street.

Fees can be paid/keys collected by contacting the caretaker.

While in Hallett, you are welcome to use the community swimming pool, the children's playground behind the pool and the tennis courts (unless it's a competition day). If you're interested in history, our History Room at the Hallett Hall is open by appointment.

Take a day trip along the Dares Hill Tourist Drive (maps as well as crafts and petrol available at the Hallett Country Store), walk the Heysen Trail (start at Toolangi Road), visit Sir Hubert Wilkins' Cottage, take the historic town walk (maps at the Store or Hall) and enjoy marvellous coffee at Hallett Coffee and Collectables.

If you're planning a group trip, why not hire our Recreation Ground tea rooms, or the beautiful Hallett Hall - we can organise catering.
