Festival of the Lamb Cooking Class

OverviewThe much awaited Watervale Hotel "cooking school" will be launched over the 2021 Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb on Tuesday 28th September as a full day, all inclusive immersive experience beginning at 9am and concluding around 4pm.
Showcasing lamb from our local farm partner- Martindale Farm in Mintaro and organic produce from Penobscot Farm.
Guests will start at the Watervale Hotel for coffee and morning tea before a lamb portioning and preparation demonstration to create the cuts for roasting.
As the lamb is in the wood oven roasting, guests will visit Penobscot Farm for a tour and pick vegetables and salad for their lunch.
This will be followed by a class where guests will prepare the roast vegetables before returning to the Watervale Hotel to put the veggies in the oven.
Guests will then observe a salad making demonstration.
Finally, Nicola will serve a late lunch to all guests.
The lunch will be matched to outstanding examples of Clare Valley wines selected by Warrick Duthy. Mocktails, beer and other beverages will be available if preferred.
