Pangkarra Foods is a family owned and operated farming and food business in the Clare Valley. The Maitland family have been farming in the Mid North since 1866. In 2011, they decided to value-add grain grown on farm, and hence, started producing premium wholegrain pasta, lavosh and flour under the Pangkarra Foods label. The multi-generational Maitland family, which includes David and Margot, their two sons Sam and Jim and Jim’s wife Katherine, use sustainable farming practices and traditional milling methods to stone mill the grain. The award winning pasta is handmade, and has a delicious nutty taste. Pangkarra products are now distributed nationally throughout Australia. All products are natural, 100 per cent wholegrain and completely traceable from paddock to plate.
